What We Do

Our students are underprivileged children from different slum areas of Dhaka and its adjoining areas. We recruit children who are enthusiastic about the musical and performing arts. We train them in musical education which inspires happiness and a sense of belonging to their peers in the program.

Although music is our main focus and we believe in the transformative power of music, we also recognize that these children, because of the accident of their birth? do not have access to the high quality education and the nurturing atmosphere that could ensures their success as adults. To ameliorate these shortcomings, we also give the children of MFD extra tutoring in mathematics, Bengali, English so that they can be more successful in their schools. We have also set up a coding school in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Division of the Government of Bangladesh and an RMG vocational training centre for the older students. With these and future innovations we believe that we can inspire these underprivileged children to grow up to be successful and happy citizens of Bangladesh.
